The Schuitenbeek, formerly known as the Nije Beek or Veldbeek, is a stream in Putten that rises east of Nijkerk and drains into the Nuldernauw via a small delta at Strand Nulde. It is a drainage canal for the Gelderse Vallei to the south and the higher Veluwe to the east. It is unknown when the stream was dug, but Nije Beek is already listed on a map from 1609 . Along the stream, near Oldenaller, there was a windmill named Allermolen, which was demolished in 1830 after it was seriously damaged by a storm .
