Oldenaller is a historic estate with a castle located between Nijkerk and Putten. The original castle was built before 1494, when it was owned by the Van Aller family. In 1655, Johan van Wijnbergen commissioned the construction of a new house on the site, possibly designed by architect Jacob van Campen, known for the Amsterdam City Hall, today the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. The current nearly square castle, built in Dutch classicist style, was completed around 1665. In "Het Rampjaar" (Disaster Year) of 1672 it was occupied by French troops.
In 1848, Oldenaller was bought by Baron van Goltstein. After 1850, the house was modernized and a square tower was added to the building. An English style garden was designed to complement the house.
