The Groevenbeek is an artificial spring and stream that originates on the Groevenbeek estate in Putten. The stream supplied water to the Groevenbeek paper mill, which was situated outside the estate on the border between the villages of Putten and Ermelo. The paper mill was operational from 1661 to 1880 .
In the 1850s a new stream, the Horselingbeek, was constructed to ensure the supply of water. The paper mill no longer exists and a farm now stands on the site.
