The Horselingbeek is a spring and stream that was constructed around 1857 by Gerrit Horseling (1798–1877). Horseling was at that time the miller of the Groevenbeek paper mill (also known as Telgter mill). The mill previously used the water from the Groevenbeek that flowed through the estate of the same name, but a new owner of the estate had other priorities, which put the water supply for the mill at risk. The new Horselingbeek secured the water supply for the mill. It was likely the last man-made spring on the Veluwe. The stream was for a long time incorrectly referred to as Groevenbeek or Volenbeek. In 2023, the stream was given the official name Horselingbeek.
The Groevenbeek paper mill was located further downstream in the village of Ermelo. The mill remained in operation until 1879 and was demolished a year later.
