Volenbeek

The Volenbeek is a stream in Putten. The stream is part of a complex system that includes other streams such as Schoonderbeek and Groevenbeek. Historically, this area is notable for its paper mills, dating back to the 17th century, which utilized the water from these streams. The Groevenbeek is continued as Volenbeek near the Volenbeek estate. Along with Schoonderbeek, it flows into a larger body of water known as De Kronkel, which eventually leads to the Nuldernauw.
