Temple of Vespasian and Titus, Rome, Italy

The Temple of Vespasian and Titus, located in the Roman Forum in Rome, was built to honor the deified emperors Vespasian and his son Titus. Construction likely began under Emperor Titus shortly after his father Vespasian’s death in 79 CE and was completed by his brother and successor, Domitian, around 87 CE.

The temple was relatively small compared to others in the Forum but elaborately decorated, emphasizing its prestige. The façade had six columns at the front, made of white marble. Only fragments of the temple survive today, including three standing Corinthian columns from the southeast corner.
