Ta Prohm is a 12th-century temple located in the Angkor region, on the southern edge of the East Baray. The temple was built by King Jayavarman VII. Unlike other temples in Angkor, Ta Prohm has been left largely in its natural state, with massive tree roots intertwining with the stone ruins, creating a unique and iconic scene. The temple’s overgrown appearance has made it one of Angkor’s most visited and photographed sites.
