Stones of Stenness, Orkney

The Stones of Stenness is a Neolithic henge with a stone circle in Orkney, Scotland. The henge, a ring-shaped earthwork bank, has a diameter of 44 meters with one entrance. The bank of the henge has disappeared. The circle originally contained 10 to 11 stones, but only four stones remain today. The largest stones are six meters tall. The stones were erected around 3100 BCE.
