Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) is one of Vienna’s most iconic landmarks, serving as a symbol of the city and Austria’s rich history. Located in the heart of Vienna's historic center, this Gothic masterpiece is a cultural, religious, and architectural treasure. The first church on the site was built in 1137 in a Romanesque style and consecrated in 1147. It was replaced by a larger Romanesque structure in the 13th century. From the 14th to the 16th century, the cathedral was extensively rebuilt in the Gothic style, including its famous South Tower (Steffl), completed in 1433 and rising to 136 meters.
