Santa Prassede is a minor basilica in Rome, Italy, dedicated to Saint Praxedes, a Roman martyr of the 2nd century. Located near the larger Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the church was commissioned by Pope Hadrian I around 780 and later reconstructed by Pope Paschal I in the 9th century.
