Núpsstaðakirkja

Núpsstaður is an abandoned hamlet in southern Iceland. It contains a small church and turf houses. Núpsstaðakirkja is one of the six turf churches that remain in Iceland. It was built in 1657 on the site of an old Christian place of worship dating from the 12th century. The church is in good condition.
