Naarden fortress

Naarden is a city in the province of North Holland, Netherlands. Naarden is an example of a star fort. Due to its strategic location, the city was set up as a fortress with double city walls, a moat, bastions, city gates and dozens of functional buildings as weapons storage or soldiers' quarters. It became part of the Old Dutch Water Line. The Naarden fortress is well preserved.
