The Mỹ Sơn Temples are a complex of ancient Hindu temples and towers that were constructed between the 4th and 13th centuries by the Champa Kingdom. This site was dedicated primarily to Shiva, one of the principal deities in Hinduism. Mỹ Sơn is considered one of the most important archaeological and historical sites in Southeast Asia.

The complex originally comprised over 70 structures made of red brick and sandstone, showcasing the Champa people's extraordinary craftsmanship and sophisticated architectural techniques. The site suffered significant damage during the Vietnam War, particularly from U.S. bombing raids, leaving many structures in ruins. However, restoration efforts have been ongoing since its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, ensuring the preservation of its historical and cultural legacy.
