Montezuma Castle, Arizona, United States

Montezuma Castle, located near Camp Verde, is one of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in North America. Constructed by the Sinagua people around the 12th century, this ancient site is nestled in a limestone recess high above the Verde Valley. Comprising 20 rooms that once housed about 50 individuals, the structure exemplifies the ingenuity of the Sinagua in architecture and their ability to adapt to a harsh desert environment.
