Loch Skipport is a sea loch on the east coast of South Uist. The Loch was one of the main harbours of South Uist and accommodated ships sailing to the Outer Hebrides from the Scottish Mainland. The pier at Loch Skipport was built in 1879. By 1900, it was superseded by Lochboisdale as the island's main harbour . The last ships departed from Loch Skipport in the 1950s .
