Hunebed G1

The hunebeds in the Netherlands are ancient megalithic tombs dating back to around 3450–3250 BCE. They were constructed by the Funnelbeaker culture, a Neolithic society known for their distinctive pottery.

Hunebed G1 is located southwest of Noordlaren in the province of Groningen. The hunebed is the most northerly of the hunebeds still located in the original location in the Netherlands, and also the only hunebed in Groningen that is still in its original location.
