Max Richter's gravestone is one of the few remnants of the cemetery of the Hegelau Lager. This German camp from World War I was built at the front sector Violu and Bernhardstein in the French Vosges. The gravestone had fallen over and was weathered, but has since been put upright and restored by volunteers .
