De Cocksdorp is the northernmost village on the Dutch Wadden Island of Texel. Around 1835, a small harbour was built for the supply of materials for the purpose of draining the Eierland polder. Later it also became the home port of the mail boat that transported the mail to the nearby island of Vlieland. The harbour was demolished in 1966 due to the raising of the dike .
