Cahergall Fort is located near Cahersiveen in County Kerry, Ireland. The fort is a good example of an ancient stone ringfort. It dates back to the early medieval period and was constructed around the 7th century AD. Cahergall has an internal diameter of 25m with 4m high and 5m thick walls. The interior of the fort features the remains of a few stone structures which likely served as houses and storage spaces.

The fort's strategic location and robust construction suggest it was built for both defensive purposes and as a status symbol, demonstrating the power and wealth of its occupants. Ringforts served as protected enclosures for livestock and as safe havens against raiders or rival clans.
