Borve Castle, or Caisteal Bhuirgh, is a ruined 14th-century castle that is located at the south-west of the Isle of Benbecula, in the Western Isles of Scotland. The castle is believed to have been constructed around 1350 and was occupied by the Macdonalds of Benbecula until the early 17th century. The castle was strategically positioned to control the surrounding area and serve as a defensive residence. It's location overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Built with rough stone walls several meters thick, the castle originally stood three stories high.
