Beauly Priory, located in the village of Beauly in the Scottish Highlands, is a ruined monastic site founded around 1230 by French monks. The name "Beauly" is said to derive from the French "beau lieu", meaning "beautiful place". The priory became Cistercian in the 16th century before falling into ruin. Despite its decay, much of the church structure remains, showcasing medieval stonework. It serves as a burial site for the Fraser and Mackenzie clans and remains a peaceful, historical attraction surrounded by ancient trees.
