In the Argonne Forest, along the road between Apremont and Binarville, lies a German war cemetery from World War I. The cemetery was established by German troops in November 1915. Burials took place there until October 1918 . The cemetery is the only original cemetery in the Argonne Forest that has been preserved. The German 27th Landwehr-Infanterie-Regiment erected a monument near the entrance.
